How can I view the sensitivity label of a report or dataset in Power BI?
While auditing content in my Power BI workspace, I need to check the sensitivity classification of various reports and datasets. What is the correct way to view or confirm the sensitivity label that has been applied to an item within the Power BI Service or Desktop?

To view the sensitivity label of a report or dataset in Power BI, you can use both Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Service, depending on where the content is stored or being edited.

In Power BI Service:

  1. Go to your workspace and open the list view of reports or datasets.

  2. Look at the “Sensitivity” column (you may need to enable it using the column selector).

  3. The sensitivity label will appear next to each item that has one applied.

  4. You can also open a report or dataset, click on the “...” (More options) in the toolbar, and select “Sensitivity” to view or change the label.

In Power BI Desktop:

  1. Open the PBIX file.

  2. On the Home ribbon, click on “Sensitivity” in the toolbar.

  3. The applied label will be displayed there, and you can view or change it depending on your permissions.
